Cornell Leads The Distance With ASCS Warriors at Missouri State Fair Speedway

SEDALIA, Mo. (May 20, 2016) Earning his first victory of the 2016 season with the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps, Sedalia’s Jonathan Cornell thrilled the hometown crowd at the Missouri State Fair Speedway by leading start to finish in the night’s 25 lap feature event.

Topping the Putnam Chevrolet Salute the Fans Night at the “Historic Half-Mile”, Cornell was chased to the line by Derek Hagar with Brad Loyet coming from seventh to complete the podium. Randy Martin was fourth with Kyle Bellm rounding out the top-five. Bellm was also the Tiger Towing High Point Driver of the Night.

Austin Alumbaugh advanced six positions to finish sixth with Corey Nelson, Evan Martin, Mitchell Moore, and Danny Thoman making up the top-ten. A blind draw of $500 thanks to Putnam Chevrolet was won by 11th finishing, Matt Close.

The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps returns to action at the Double X Speedway in California, Mo. on May 29.
