Britt Banks Pair of Podiums in ASCS 2023 Openers

Landon Britt hit the ground running with a pair of strong performance in the first two American Sprint Car Series events of the 2023 season.

Action opened on Thursday at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Miss.) with 21 entries on hand.

After qualifying fourth fastest in his group, Landon won his heat race to lock into the second-starting spot for the 30-lap finale.

Britt ran in a podium spot throughout the feature before crossing the finish line in third behind Jason Martin and Seth Bergman with Howard Moore and Brandon Anderson completing the Top-5 finishers.

With Friday’s scheduled event at Texarkana 67 Speedway falling victim to rain, the team resumed action on Saturday evening at Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.).

Landon started the night at the Louisiana oval by setting a new track record with a 12.64-second lap in his qualifying group, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for his heat race. He advanced to a second-place finish in his heat, which earned him the fourth-starting spot for the feature.

In the FloRacing.com 30-lap finale Britt quickly worked his way into the second spot, and that’s where would ultimately cross the finish line behind Jason Martin with Seth Bergman, Howard Moore, and Cody Gardner rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

Landon is tied for second in the latest series standings.
