White Thrilled to Make Debut in Central Pennsylvania This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – HOHENWALD, Tenn. (May 1, 2018) – Harli White has been looking forward to this weekend since the 2018 Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com schedule was released.

White and the series are heading to Central Pennsylvania for the Battle of the Groves, which showcases races on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg and Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove. This weekend will mark her debut at both tracks.

“It’s huge,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to come here and race for many, many years. It’s a perfect opportunity to race. It’s cool to get on some tracks that are legendary. I’m excited to get on fast tracks and learn more about high speed in dirty air and clean air.”

White competed in Kentucky last Friday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, which visited Paducah International Raceway in Paducah for the first time.

“It was tough,” she said. “We didn’t think we’d get the race in because of how wet it was. They worked hard to get the track in as best shape as they could. We had our spare motor in and had a couple of problems with the injectors. Then the throttle kept getting stuck so I pulled off in the A Main so we didn’t risk tearing anything up.”

White placed sixth in a heat race and seventh in the B Main. She used a provisional to start the main event last, but the mechanical problems forced her to exit the race early with a 20th-place result.

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Tennessee National Raceway, where she advanced from seventh to fifth place in a heat race and won a qualifier after starting third. That lined her up on the inside of the second row for the A Main.

“We had a really good car,” she said. “Unfortunately, we just found it later in the A Main. I dropped to sixth early and then found a better lane later in the race. We showed signs of a fast race car, which I’m excited about as we head to Central Pennsylvania.”

White posted a sixth-place finish, which was her fourth top 10 of the season.
