ASCS Gulf South Season Finale Moved To September 29

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (September 24, 2018) Mother Nature put a wash on this past Saturday’s event at Battleground Speedway with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region, leading series and track officials to reschedule the 2018 season finale to Saturday, September 29.

Channin Tankersley carries a 129-point advantage into this weekend. Barring anything out of the ordinary, Saturday will see the Highlands, Texas driver wrap up the 2018 Championship as mathematically, all he must do is start the A-Feature.

Koty Adams will look to hold onto second with a 53 point gap over Dustin Gates. Harry Yerrington and Caleb Martin make up the top five in tour standings.

The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region will be joined by Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds, IMCA Sprints, Dwarf Cars, Street Stocks, Eco’s, and IMCA Modifieds. Admission is only $15 with kids 6-12 admitted for $10. Kids five and under get into the grandstands for free.

Saturday, September 29 opens at 4:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CT). Battleground Speedway is located at 10625 FM 2100 in Highlands, Texas. More information on the track can be found online at https://www.facebook.com/battlegroundracepark.
