Driever Entering ASCS Frontier Region Season Opener With Confidence

Inside Line Promotions – COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (June 8, 2021) – Tyler Driever has momentum on his side as he enters an ASCS Frontier Region doubleheader this weekend.

Driever will make his debut at two Montana ovals – Friday at Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade and Saturday at Big Sky Speedway in Billings – that make up the first two nights of the 17-race schedule.

“I’m pretty excited,” he said. “I’ve never ran either track. It will be nice to run in Montana and Wyoming more. Everything we’ve raced has been pretty far west so it’s cool that we’re racing closer to my area.

“I want to get a podium finish or a win. Having a clear head with a positive mindset is key. Being confident is big in racing so having a confident attitude that we can win will help me be a better driver all around.”

The 18-year-old Idaho native is coming off a fourth-place finish last Saturday at Cottage Grove Speedway. That tied his career-best outing in a 360ci winged sprint car.

“We struggled a little bit,” he said. “The track was pretty slick to begin with early in the night. I wasn’t very good in the heat race. The track rubbered down pretty good early on. It took me a while to find the rubber. Once I found it I did all right.”

Driever qualified fourth quickest, placed fifth in a heat race and advanced from seventh to fourth place in the A Main for his second top five of the season.
