Bryan Hulbert – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 28, 2022) Bouncing back from a tough start to the weekend, Blake Hahn looked to be on his way to his first victory of the season before a tap to the wall at I-30 Speedway relegated him to a fourth-place finish on Saturday night with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

“I was so angry when it happened. We had an awesome race going with Aaron [Reutzel] and could answer every slide job, but it is what it is. Didn’t think I hit hard enough to really damage anything, but it was just enough to break the Jacobs Ladder. After that, I was just holding on,” stated Hahn, who ended up slipping back to fourth.

Looking back to Friday’s opener at the Hammer Hill Showdown, Hahn was in contention in his Heat Race before spinning in turn four. Coming back to fifth, that put him near the front of a B-Feature. Winning the consolation event, Hahn was able to move forward from 17th to 12th.

“Friday’s track was slick like I haven’t seen at I-30 in a long time, so it made it tougher to pass, but it wasn’t impossible. Just had to be patient and use cautions as much as possible. That’s really where I would make up some time. Not very happy with the results but kept the car in one piece.”

Up next for Hahn is the Capital City Clash at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss. with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

Fans not able to attend can see the event live with RaceOnTexas.com and FloRacing.com.

The 2022 season is Blake’s 20th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 100 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars.
