Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 10, 2022) – Garet Williamson garnered his second straight top-10 result at Knoxville Raceway last Saturday.

The eighth-place run was the 11th top 10 of the season for Bryant Paver Motorsports, which kicked off the action in the 360ci winged sprint car division with a fifth-place performance in qualifying and a fourth-place showing in a heat race.

“We were really good all night,” said Williamson, who started third in the A Main. “I think I just got into the bottom too hard one time and blew the packer off the left front shock. We struggled after that. I think the first half of the race we had a car to win. After that it entered the corners fine, but just wasn’t in the track and I didn’t have the drive anymore.”

Williamson ran third early before fading to eighth after the handling went away on the race car.

“Having speed there compared to how we were last year is great,” he said. “We’ve been consistently fast the two times we’ve been there this year. I think we’ll get back a few times before August. We’re excited about our speed there and we’ll try some things to get that extra little bit.”

With the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event canceled this weekend the team has changed plans to run a 410ci winged sprint car show on Friday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., before tackling an ASCS Sooner Region and ASCS Warrior Region event at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., on Saturday.

Williamson made the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series feature last year during his sprint car debut at Jacksonville Speedway.

“It’ll be great to get back in the 410,” he said. “I think we’ll be really good. We got around Jacksonville good with the Outlaws. Hopefully we can put together a good night and get a solid finish as we gain more 410 experience.”

He has a top-10 result during his last two races at Lucas Oil Speedway.
