Adding his name to the list of ASCS winners on Friday night, Arizona’s Elijah Gile fought his way into Victory Lane for the first time with the ASCS Northern Plains Region at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D.
Joining his father, Dennis Gile, as a winner in ASCS regional competition, Elijah bested a field of 24, behind the wheel of the Michael Hayashi-owned No. 12h.
Gridding the field fourth, Gile moved around the podium while chasing New Mexico’s Ryder McCutcheon through the opening 18 circuits before taking over the lead with seven laps to go. McCutcheon would end up second, with Colorado’s Bryan Gossel going from eighth to third. D.J. Brink and Logan Hershey making the run from 22nd to complete the top five.
The ASCS Northern Plains Region races again on Saturday, July 26 at Gillette Thunder Speedway, located at Thunder Speedway Rd. 13002 HWY 51 in Gillette, Wy.
Information, directions, and more on the Speedway can be found online. Saturday’s events open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m. (MDT) and is presented by All American Siding & Windows. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and veterans, $5 for youth, and free for kids under four-feet tall.
The 2025 season marks the 34th season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes several regional tours, along with cooperating tracks and events throughout the United States.
