Having to move dates after several inches of snow blanketed Colorado’s El Paso County Raceway in April, the quarter-mile oval is set to try again with the ASCS Western Plains Region on Saturday, May 3.

The second round of the 2025 season, things got underway this past weekend during a three-wide regional showdown, which saw Missouri’s Chase Porter topping action at Nebraska’s Lincoln County Raceway.

Giving Porter the points lead going into the weekend, that will all change as he chases the Malvern Bank 360 Sprint Series. Back to just the single region this weekend, the door is wide open for Colorado’s Austyn Gossel to take command.

Saturday, May 3, is Fan Appreciation Night at El Paso County Raceway. Gates open at 1:00 P.M. with cars on track at 4:00 P.M. Other classes include Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, Compacts, NOW600 Micro Sprints, Warriors, Dwarfs, and Junior Compacts.

Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for military and seniors, $10 for youth (13-17), $5 for children 6-12, and free for kids five and under. For more information on El Paso County Raceway, call (720) 404-0400 or visit their website. El Paso County Raceway is located at 366 10th St. in Calhan, Colo.
