Collecting the opening night of Halloween Havoc at Alabama’s Deep South Speedway, North Carolina’s Lance Moss tamed the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints for his first career win with the series.

Pocketing $2,000 for his efforts, Moss chased Iowa’s Chris Martin through the first three revolutions before taking over on Lap 4. Keeping pace from there, Moss went on to win by 1.190-seconds over Martin. Series point’s leader, Lane Whittington, rolled eighth to third, with Terry Gray and Terry Witherspoon making up the top five.

One night to go on the season, Lane Whittington will roll through the gates on Saturday as the 2024 ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints Champion, with his advantage growing to 155 points following Friday’s preliminary event.

Tickets Saturday are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (8-12), and free for kids seven and under. Stands open at 4:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m. (CDT).
