Inside Line Promotions – GREENBRIER, Ark. (Oct. 3, 2023) – Only a handful of races remain this season for Jordon Mallett, who will spend this weekend racing close to home.

Mallett will tackle the ASCS Mid-South Region’s Ralph Henson Memorial on Thursday at Texarkana 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Ark. – approximately two and a half hours from his home. He will return to the track on Friday and Saturday for the 36th annual COMP CAMS Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier with the ASCS National Tour.

“It’s one of our closest to home shows for the year,” he said. “We hope to have more of our people there than anywhere else. Normally Short Track Nationals was where most of our people hung out. It’s a little different with the event moving to a different track, but we hope to have quite a few people there with us.”

Mallett hasn’t competed at the track in more than a decade. His most recent appearance in May 2013 featured an eighth-place result.

“I haven’t been there in years,” he said. “The goal is to just run well and be consistent all three nights. The Ralph Henson Memorial will give us a good chance to see where we need to be and use that as a preliminary night for the big nights. We want to be dialed in on Thursday so hopefully Friday we can have our package ready to rip. I feel we have a good baseline package, but we haven’t been there in a while and I know they’ve made some changes to the track.”

Mallett captured the Ralph Henson Memorial in 2014. He won a preliminary night feature at the Short Track Nationals in 2021 – his first career ASCS National Tour triumph – before finishing a career-best third during the event finale.

“We won the Ralph Henson Memorial and a Short Track Nationals prelim, but that finale still sticks with me,” he said. “We led most of the race in 2021, but had a late caution and didn’t know the track had changed and got passed late. We really want to win that event.”

SEASON STATS –

36 races, 0 wins, 10 top fives, 23 top 10s, 26 top 15s, 30 top 20s
