CONCORD, N.C. (April 16, 2024) – Zach Blurton will live out a longtime dream this year, taking his talent on the road full-time with the American Sprint Car Series National Tour for the first time.

The Kansas shoe will join the stout field of first-time contenders chasing the ASCS Rookie of the Year title.

“First and foremost, I need to thank my wife for going along with this crazy racing life,” Blurton said. “From my start in racing, I feel like I’ve had realistic goals and dreams. I would see the Outlaw and the All-Star schedule and think that was cool and see what was close that I could go watch, but the ASCS schedule was one that I looked at and felt that was something I could do one day.”

An accomplished talent with the United Rebel Sprint Series, where he ranks third in all-time wins, Blurton has stepped up his 360 Sprint Car program over the past few seasons and found success, including an ASCS National Tour win at WaKeeney Speedway on July 3, 2022.

“I’ll never forget that night and that feeling of who I was racing with and had to hold off to get that win, and I want that again,” Blurton said.

For the 2024 season, Blurton will pilot the Swift Bullet Co./Summit Automotive Group No. 2J with Maxim Chassis and Don Ott power. Snow Giddings will take charge as the crew chief.

“We’ve been building the team and didn’t want to do this until I knew we were ready, and I feel like we’re finally at a point to take that step and give it a try,” he said. “We’re a family-oriented team, as are a lot of our sponsors, and they’ve really stepped up to help us accomplish this.”

Blurton is carrying plenty of momentum into 2024 with last year producing six wins, 20 top fives, and 29 top-10 finishes across various series and engine combinations.
